Kimono obsession

I can never have enough kimonos in my wardrobe. I made my first kimono when I was fresh out of varsity and I was completely obsessed with it and I continued to make myself more kimonos throughout the years. There's just something so chic about  kimonos, they add that it-factor to an outfit. A couple of months ago I blogged about a fabric I bought and I wasn't sure what to make out of it, so I decided to make a long kimono  and that was a really good decision because the fabric worked so well with the entire  design. I really love how it turned out, especially the long, dramatic  length. I can't wait to shoot in it because I have so many  ideas in my head that I know will work very well with it.

Post birthday getaway

September was such a hectic month at work, my body and mind really took a bit of a strain from working around the clock .So I decided to spoil myself with a weekend getaway  because I didn't really get to celebrate my birthday properly and I needed to relax. We stayed at a resort called Seasons sport and spa which was nothing short of amazing and beautiful, I had such a great time and enjoyed every minute of my stay there. It was nestled amongst the mountains and gave me the peace of mind I needed. My best friend and I also went to the spa which was even more breath-taking, I felt like I was in paradise. The massage rooms overlooked a lake, and all I could  hear were birds chirping away as  the masseuse was busy working her magic on my body. After our massage session we ended our day with a bottle of champagne as the sun set and it felt really good to have my best friend by my side as I celebrated being 27 properly.
